I clearly remember when I was around 5 or 6 years old, whenever my Dad would leave our room, my sister and I would sneak and get a couple of yummy chewable vitamins from the top of our shelf because it tasted so good! Whoever invented chewable vitamins for kids was a genius. Up to this day I still remember the tangy taste of those vitamins in fun Flintstone shapes which I loved so much!
But recently I just found out that a pharmaceutical company from Malasiya called CMM (Chemical Company of Malasiya), is here in the Philippines and their aim is to provide generic versions of medications that are cheaper but are equally effective. That means I won’t have to pay as much for an effective vitamins for Rain!
And for a mom like me, what’s important to me more than anything else Rain’s vitamins. Especially during this rainy day wherein coughs and colds are common. (In fact, 5 days ago I caught a cold and cough. And no matter how hard I tried, Rain caught it too the other day.)
And so I was happy to learn that CMM makes chewable vitamins for kids! They’re called CHAMPS. They have different flavours and come in different shapes (although the shapes are not as fancy as my old Flintstones haha but still attractive for kids!). A bottle contains 100 chewable tablets. What I specifically love about it is that they have different variants that specialize in different specific needs:

What do you think of this line up? Truly a Mother’s choice for Champions!
I haven’t tried giving Rain yet because of course I want to consult her pedia first (same with any other medication for babies). But when I get the go signal, I plan to crush the vitamins first and maybe mix it with fruits or banana because I’m not confident that she can eat candy yet. Worried she might choke. but anyway I'll update you guys.
Oh, by the way, according to the dosage, only half a tablet is recommended for children below 2 years old. Just always ask your child’s pedia about these things before giving anything.

During the Bloggers Get-To-Know-CHAMPS Day held at Cerchio Grill and Lounge (separate post on the great food later!) , guests speaker Dra. Malou Escobar explains that even if we think we’re giving the right food to our children, we still cannot foresee certain factors like the appetite of the child for the day, what they eat when they’re not with us, etc. So vitamins or supplements are a way to make sure you’re giving your child the complete needed dose of vitamins everyday. And thankfully, with CHAMPS fruity flavors and fun shapes, you can be sure that your child will be the one chasing you and bugging you to give her vitamins, not the other way around! ;-)
Thank you to Mrs. Alina A. Iledan, Business Manager of CCMIP – Pharmaceuticals Division, and Ms. Mylene Marquez for inviting Rina’s Rainbow to cover this launch! More power to CCM and CHAMPS!
