homemade play-doh

Lately I have been fascinated in watching Play-Doh set reviews on YouTube. It's been years since I last played with a Play Doh and I never even tried playing with those dough pressers and shape molds. Just   the actual dough. So it's fun to watch different things you can do with the different varieties of Play-Doh sets.

Rain's godmother actually gave Rain a Play-Doh set and i have been itching to open it and play with it but of course I'd rather wait a year or two more until Rain can really play with it the way it's meant to be played. So imagine my delight when I saw a video in YouTube on how to make homemade Play-Doh without cooking! And with the simplest ingredients you can find on your kitchen cabinet! Thank you YouTube user BeforeandAfterTV! :-)

Divide the cup of warm water among the 4 bowls. Add food coloring. Different color for each bowl. And then add 1/2 table spoon of vegetable or canola oil in each bowl. Set aside. (I only made two colors but this recipe is for 4.)

Combine the flour and salt in one bowl. Mix.

Once mixed, get a cup of the flour salt mixture and pour in the bowl of the colored liquid mixture (1 cup of flour salt mixture per bowl).

DONE!
A great way to store it and make it last long is to put it in saran wrap or zip lock (take out air) then put in fridge.

Then it's PLAY TIME!
