MOMxercise!

So I decided to start doing little bits of exercise today. Something that doesn't require me to wear my now super snug aerobics attire.

Even stomach-in failed me! Source
So this morning, I joined Rain in her play mat in the living room and did some air-cycling while she played. (Laying down, pretending to cycle a bike with my legs). Take note, I haven't done any real exercise in a loooooooooooong time so it was sadly a challenge for me already.

And then in the afternoon while Rain and our helper were outside playing with the neighbor babies, I did some weight-lifting with my pink 2 lbs pair of weights. Just casually lifting my arms up and down for a good 30 minutes while watching the Asian Food Channel. (Toink!) I love taking it slow! (Excuses!)

Believe me I was sweating like a pig (pun intended) but of course I had to pat my shiny face for the picture ;-)

Little did I know my real intense workout would come in the evening. Recently I introduced Rain to the joy of piggy back ridding. And of course, she loved it! And that's what we did all. night. long.

I wonder if Dance-A-Lot Robot get a short circuit when he sweats? Source

We did a few rounds of piggy back ride. And then when that robot dance thingy came on Disney Jr., I put her down and invited her to imitate the dance moves with me. But she wouldn't have it. Rain wanted me to dance, with her still riding on my back. So imagine dancing with a 1/4 sac of rice on your back. Not easy! Which left me out of breath. But of course I did it anyway :-) (Joyful learning!)

Whenever I stopped, I would plop her down the floor and I would sit and try to catch my breath. But she would keep climbing my back. When I refused to cooperate, she would put her hands under my armpits and try with all her teeny weeny might to lift me off the floor. Too cute!!! :-)

I was too tired so we both compromised. I offered to play horsey-horsey instead. At least I'm on all fours. Phew! What is "out of shape?"

There's nothing like playing with your child and hearing their excited giggles because of you. Plus, I get to exercise too! I'll just keep doing this for as long as she finds it entertaining. Killing two birds with one stone :-)

Neeeeeigh! *plop!*  Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
